Pandemic

Is the US not the most self-centered nation with the most self-centered people ever? I am SO tired of reading posts where people are attacking other people. First, we are all being told to shelter in place together – not just some of us – ALL of us. Second, we do not know where other people are coming from or what this pandemic is costing them and I don’t see anybody asking – where the hell is the empathy? Does anybody have any? Third, I don’t know why we’re on social media anymore…it’s just middle school on the internet and NOBODY liked middle school so seriously, why are we here? Not enough people in your own backyard to attack?

Covid-19 is NOT political. Has the president handled it well? No, but he is who got elected so he is it for now…arguing about what so and so would have done or whatever is pointless. If you want him out of office, vote him out. If you support him, bully for you – I’ll never understand it, but one thing I do understand is that I’m NEVER going to be able to change your mind. I’m not even going to try. What I will say is he lies A LOT and if you don’t see it or you’re okay with it, that’s your deal, you are not my project.

As a society, however, we are all accountable to one another, we do not exist in a vacuum, our actions have consequence that affect more than ourselves. If you don’t care about other people. why should they care about you? We are a society of people who all have to live and work together to make our society good and worth being a part of. If Facebook or the news is any indicator, we clearly don’t give a crap about our society or the other people in it so I say we throw in the towel. Open everything up and do whatever the hell you want, and let’s not pretend to wish anybody well when our actions clearly demonstrate that most of us don’t give a crap.
